CinchFox

Affiliate disclosure

CinchFox earns money through affiliate commissions. This page explains exactly how, because you should be able to weigh that against what you read here.

The short version

Some links to software on this site are affiliate links. If you sign up through one, the vendor pays me a commission. You pay the same price you would pay going direct, and in some cases less, because a few programs attach a discount to the link.

Rules I follow

Why recurring commissions matter, and why that is a risk to you

Many of these programs pay a recurring commission for as long as you stay subscribed. That aligns us on one thing: I lose money if I send you to a tool you abandon in two months. But it also creates a pull toward subscription products over one-time purchases and over doing nothing at all. I am telling you this so you can discount for it. When a spreadsheet is the right answer, I try hard to say so.

Compliance

This disclosure follows the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidance on endorsements and testimonials in advertising.
