Editorial policy

Who writes this

One person: Tinh Vu. I spent fifteen years running a wholesale distribution business with inventory, and built the automation that kept it running. There is no editorial team here, and I do not use a plural "we" to imply one.

Where the authority comes from

Not from credentials. From artifacts. Working code is published onGitHub, test data is downloadable from the pages that cite it, and build sessions are recorded onYouTube so you can watch the thing fail in real time rather than take my word for it.

On the mascot

I publish under my real name with a fox as the site's face rather than a headshot. The name, the history, and the work are real and checkable. The portrait is not the part that makes them so.

How AI is used, and how it is not

I use AI tooling for research assistance, outlining, and drafting. Every claim of experience on this site — a run time, a price, a thing that broke — comes from a session I ran myself, and is checked against a dated file before publication. An automated gate blocks any page that claims a test without pointing at the artifact that produced it. AI does not decide what gets recommended.

Standards every page has to clear

Corrections

Errors get fixed on the page, and material corrections are noted at the bottom of it with a date. I do not quietly edit a claim out of existence. Report one atinfo@cinchfox.com.

Sponsorship and independence

No vendor pays for placement, previews a draft, or approves a score. Revenue comes from affiliate commissions, described in full on theaffiliate disclosure page.
